Emotional regulation, attachment style, and assertiveness as determinants of well-being in emerging adults

Introduction The emerging adult stage of life is a time many positive changes, as well stress and uncertainty. Certain psychological characteristics - such emotional regulation, attachment style, or assertiveness – could help these adults thrive maintain mental health. This study aimed to explore the influence variables on well-being adults. Methods sample included 360 French adults, with mean age 21.3 years. Well-being was assessed Mental Health Continuum, regulation Emotional Regulation Difficulties Scale, Assertiveness styles Relationship Scales Questionnaire. Results showed that judgment toward one’s own experience shyness (as part assertiveness) predicted adults’ well-being. also highlighted role substance use experiences violence Discussion support importance in-person distance education prevention well-being, especially in higher institutions times COVID pandemic.
